New thoughts on dyadic cubes in metric spaces

Lundi 22 novembre 2010 14:00-15:00 - Hytönen Tuomas - Helsinki

Résumé : A number of recent developments in Euclidean harmonic analysis have made use of a family of adjacent systems of dyadic cubes, instead of just one fixed system. In different applications, the systems of cubes are chosen sometimes randomly, sometimes deterministically in a clever way. This talk is concerned with the extension of these ideas to analysis on metric spaces. The construction of one fixed system of metric dyadic cubes is due to M. Christ. I review his construction and discuss its extension to adjacent dyadic systems, together with applications to singular integrals on metric spaces.
