Stable ergodicity in a new context

Résumé : The theory of stable ergodicity of volume preserving diffeomorphisms has been very successfully developed in the context of partially hyperbolic dynamics during the last decade. It is therefore time to move into the next, possibly final, phase : that of dominated splittings, a notion more general than that of partial hyperbolicity. We describe a geometrical method to prove stable ergodicity in this context and apply it in a number of different situations.
