Ignacio Barros

I am a postdoc in Université Paris-Saclay funded by the ERC Synergy Grant HyperK.

I received my PhD from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in August 2018, under the supervision of Gavril Farkas and Rahul Pandharipande. After that I was a Zelevinsky Postdoctoral Fellow at Northeastern University.

Here is my CV

Google Scholar, ORCID, ArXiv

Research Interests

Algebraic geometry with connections to other fields. More specifically: algebraic curves, K3 surfaces, hyperkähler varieties, abelian varieties, sheaves and their moduli spaces. I am also interested in strata of differentials, flat geometry and Teichmüller dynamics.

I am a Math Alliance undergraduate mentor. Alliance pre-doctoral Mentors are typically math sciences faculty at colleges and universities who have committed themselves to mentoring and encouraging undergraduate students who come from ethnic groups, families and/or regions that have had little prior experience with doctoral study in the mathematical sciences. See here for more information about the goals of the Alliance. Here you can see my Alliance website. Please contact me if your are interested. I am very eager to help in any way possible.
