Cohomology operations enrich cohomology with additional algebraic structure, enabling the detection of topological features invisible to Betti numbers. In this talk, we revisit Steenrod's construction from a computational perspective to develop Steenrod barcodes: persistent invariants with applications to real-world data sets and continuous metric spaces.
