    Paris University Chancellery Thesis Prize

    The Chancellery of the Universities of Paris awarded formal thesis prizes to former doctoral students of the LMO. These are Tess Bouis, who defended her thesis supervised by Matthew Morrow in September 2024, and Antoine Prouff, who defended his thesis supervised by Matthieu Léautaud in June 2024.

    Motion from the Laboratory regarding the management hub

    Following the laboratory's general assembly on Friday, October 17, the members of the Orsay Mathematics Laboratory (LMO) voted in favor of the motion below with almost all votes cast (out of 349 registered members, 258 voted, including 235 in favor, 1 against, 6 abstentions, and 16 non-votes).

    Motion from the Laboratory Council regarding the management unit

    Meeting in extraordinary session on Friday, October 10, 2025, the Laboratory Council of the LMO unanimously adopted the following motion:

    The Laboratory Council of the Orsay Mathematics Laboratory, in light of:

    — the departures of administrative staff since 2022, which have not been replaced by the CNRS and not compensated for by the University of Paris-Saclay,

    — the HCERES report of June 2025, which notes the critical lack of resources in the LMO's administrative department,

    — the daily experience of everyone in the laboratory,

    requests that the supervisory bodies fulfill their obligations to resolve these issues and fully supports the …
