The theory of resurgence was introduced by J. Écalle in the '80. It addresses the study of divergent power series, which arise from solving ODEs with irregular singularities, computing asymptotic expansions, and more generally in QFT and topological string theory, etc. In this talk, I will give an overview of resurgence and Borel-Laplace summability, highlighting both some classical features and some new perspectives.
