I will report on joint work with F. Andreatta and M. Baracchini on understanding de Rham cohomology of modular Banach sheaves with connections on (certain open adic subspaces of)  Shimura varieties, using Lie-algebra techniques, a la Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand.
