For a surface, to be parabolic is equivalent to many things such as, the geodesic flow being ergodic, the quotient group of the surface being of divergence-type, the brownian motion on the surface being recurrent etc… In this talk we are going to describe ways to tell if a flute surface is parabolic and/or of first kind. This extends results by Pandazis and Šarić shown in 2023 and use the concept of visible end coined by Basmajian and Šarić.
